The Our Strange Skies Podcast Archive

For decades, people have reported strange encounters with UFOs, their occupants, and a slew of other strange phenomena. On the Our Strange Skies podcast we covered many of those stories. This archive represents two and a half years of hard work by a bunch of extraordinary people. Not all of the original episodes have been re-uploaded, but this archive does include Patreon bonus episodes.

What's up, ufonauts?
This week, my friend Matt Sanderson stops by to talk about Ancient Astronaut Theory, and why it's a troubling and lazy area of pseudoscience. We also delve into the men in black phenomenon, and Matt asks me various questions relating to the UFO phenomenon, including why do the aliens give a shit about earth? All this and more on this weeks episode!

What's up, ufonauts?!
On this weeks Minisode, we look at one of the strangest cases featuring anomalous phenomenon ever recorded. Across the United States, there are certain areas where Bigfoots, UFOs, and ghosts exist in the same spaces. In October of 1973, all of these types of phenomenon descended on a rural farm in southwestern Pennsylvania, in an area that could easily be compared to the Bridgewater Triangle or even Skinwalker Ranch.

I'm joined by Brian Hastie (https://twitter.com/BrianHastie) of the Double Density (http://www.doubledensity.net/) podcast for an intense discussion of the 2002 film, Signs (https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0286106/?ref_=nv_sr_4%3Fref_%3Dnv_sr_4) , directed by M. Night Shyamalan. From bad acting, to the comically inept aliens, and a non-existent plot, Signs brings all of the logical fallacies you've ever needed to a film. Does M. Night Shyamalan drive home the point of the movie, literally? Is the best cultural equivalent of Signs the television show, Full House? Do vegetarian aliens need that corn? Dawg? Is there a conspiracy theory in the comments section of Roger Ebert's review of the film? Is Richard Doty responsible for this movie at all? Is Sedona, Arizona the best place to spend your honeymoon? Tune in as Brian and I pick apart the worst alien invasion movie ever made.

What's up, ufonauts?! To give you an idea of what we cover over on Patreon, I offer the latest installment of Their Strange Skies free for everyone. This month we;re in Italy, looking at the abductions of a 26 year old security guard, Pier Fortunato Zanfretta. Over the course of two years he is abducted repeatedly by a group of very tall and strange beings. They include Zanfretta on their plans to make Earth a new home, and to initiate contact with the human species. Though the aliens would never build their domed city on earth, we are left with one of the most fascinating abduction accounts ever recorded, complete with physical evidence!

What's up, ufonauts? This week, I bring you the story and history of Roswell, from its humble beginning as an off-hand comment to Stanton Friedman, to the Air Force's final report, we go in depth on how the story of Roswell developed, the key players involved, and where we stand on this when all is said and done.

Kentucky saw two really strange abduction cases during the years 1976 and 1977. The first involved three women leaving a diner at 11:15 on January 6th, 1976. A UFO appeared above them. All three were taken on board a craft and subjected to medical tests and torturous procedures. A year later, on January 27, 1977, a young man was abducted from his truck on the way home from a friends house. He was examined by machine-like beings and returned to his vehicle. Both cases share surprising similarities at a time when alien abductions were starting to become more common.

What's up, ufonauts?!
On this week's episode, I explore one of the most bizarre abductions stories ever recorded. In October of 1975, David Stephens was abducted from a car by very strange beings with mushroom-shaped heads and large white eyes. This encounter sets off a string of high strangeness that affects everyone involved in the case, including the hypnotist, Herbert Hopkins. Strap in for an episode full of UFOs taking control of cars, poltergeist activity, the men in black, and boat loads of high strangeness.

What's up, ufonauts?!
Welcome to the second edition of the UFO Book Club. This time, Brian (https://twitter.com/BrianHastie) , Angelo (https://twitter.com/angelofioren) , Sam (https://twitter.com/BeerlordElfbane) , and myself explore the nuances of Somewhere in the Skies: A Human Approach to an Alien Phenomenon (https://www.amazon.com/Somewhere-Skies-Human-Approach-Phenomenon/dp/0967799589/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1528732571&sr=8-1&keywords=somewhere+in+the+skies) by Ryan Sprague (https://twitter.com/RyanSprague51) . We talk about the how this phenomenon manifests, how stupid the "why do UFOs have lights on them?" argument is, Angelo pretends to be Jason for a minute, and we wax philosophical about the metaphysical aspects of the UFO phenomenon.
